Copycat Chick-fil-A Sandwiches

Family Favorite

I don’t think I have ever meet anyone that doesn’t love Chick-fil-A. My very first introduction to this deliciousness was when I visited my cousins in Chattanooga, TN about 12 and a half years ago. Here in Central New York we didn’t get a Chick-fil-A until a couple years ago and all I can say is I’m thankful that it’s not too close to my house or otherwise I would be in trouble – I love their sandwiches and sauce!

For our family to go out and get six meals is not too ‘wallet friendly.’ We still go once in a while but since I discovered how to make an also exact replica of their sandwiches at home it’s a lot more budget friendly. We love how the sandwiches turn out and I hope you do as well!

All the sandwich ingredients can be purchased at Aldi. This recipe will make 5-6 sandwiches, depending how many pieces of chicken come in your bag but for the sake of this recipe we’ll proceed as if there was 6 pieces of chicken. I have tried making the chicken several different ways but an air fryer produces the best results. If you do not have pepper jack cheese, use any cheese you have and sprinkle hot pepper flakes on it before you melt it over the chicken.

Ingredients for the Sandwiches

  • 1 bag Chicken Breast Fillets
  • 1 package Brioche Buns
  • 6 packages pepper jack cheese
  • 6 pieces lettuce
  • 6 slices tomatoes
  • 12 large pickle slices

Ingredients for the Low Carb Copycat Chick-fil-A Sauce

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp pyure
  • 2 tbsp liquid smoke
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp gelatin

Instructions for the Low Carb Copy Cat Chick-fil-A Sauce

1. Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix until well combined. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Instructions for the Sandwiches

1. Place the chicken in the air fryer basket, make sure the chicken is not laying on top of each other. Cook the chicken at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes, half way through turn the chicken over – this ensures the chicken gets crispy all around.

2. Once the chicken is done place a slice of each on the chicken and melt it either in the microwave or air fryer.

3. Assemble the sandwich: take the bottom part of the bun, place a piece of lettuce, tomato, piece of chicken, 2 slices of pickles, spoon the copycat Chick-fil-A sauce and top it with the bun.

4. Serve with fries.

Enjoy!
