Easy Chaffles

Chaffles are the perfect substitute for bread. You can top the chaffle with your favorite toppings – anything from smoked fish, egg, guacamole or my absolute favorite the hot canape topping. Whatever you choose to top the chaffle with I am certain you will enjoy this recipe.

Ingredients for Chaffles 

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp almond flour
  • 1/4 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

1. In a small bowl combine all ingredients and whisk really well to combine.

2. Spray your waffle maker (I have a bubble waffle maker) and I divide the mixture to make two chaffles. If you are using a regular waffle maker be sure to put the same amount of mixture in each quarter (you will have enough mixture to fill two). If you are using a dash mini maker divide the mixture in two.

Sometimes I make one giant chaffle and eat it ALL!!!

You can substitute cheddar cheese for mozzarella or Mexican style cheese.
