Trim Healthy Mama Fuel Pull / Keto / Low Carb / Sugar Free
If someone would have told me a few weeks ago that I was going to enjoy a pumpkin spice latte and actually like it I would have given them a look of disbelief. I DO NOT LIKE ANYTHING PUMPKIN, well let me be a little more accurate – I never used to like pumpkin but I’m beginning to be a big pumpkin fan lately.
I had a friend over the other day and I made us pumpkin spice lattes, she said that they were very comparable to what you would get at a coffee shop. I still have never had a PSL from DD or Starbucks so I can’t say for sure but honestly with how good mine is I don’t think I’m missing out.
Do you remember how popular Dalgona Coffee was during the beginning of quarantine? Well, this is a delicious twist on the Dalgona Coffee – it brings the wow factor to a simple latte and gives it a great flavor. In my opinion this one is even better than the original and the original recipe is pretty phenomenal.
My next pumpkin adventure is going to be trying an actual pumpkin pie. I’m not going to lie this one has me a little nervous.

I hope you will enjoy this healthy version of the Dalgona Pumpkin Spice Latte as much as we do. It definitely doesn’t taste healthy, it’s super creamy, the deep flavor of coffee ties in so well with the pumpkin pie spice and the ground cinnamon – it’s so delicious.
Sometimes I find it helpful seeing the exact ingredients that are used for a recipe, therefore, I’m attaching a picture of what brand of ingrediets I used.
If you prefer not to use sweetener in this recipe you can absolutely swap it out for sugar, honey or maple syrup. Because the sweetener is a lot sweeter than the substitutes you will have to double the amount you use. I found that using an electric whisk works best for this recipe. I have the Cuisinart electric whisk and it works wonderfully and it comes with several attachments. I have not tried using any other method to whip the coffee.
It still boggles my mind how a few simple ingredients (that are not great on their own) come together in such an incredible way. Now lets get to the recipe and the process.
Ingredients for the Dalgona PSL
- 1 tbsp instant coffee
- 2.5 tsp pyure sweetener, divided
- 1 tbsp hot water
- 1 cup almond milk
- 2 tbsp pumpkin puree
- 1 tsp caramel flavoring (Monin, stevia sweetened) or 1/4 tsp caramel extract
- 1/8 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions for the Dalgona PSL
1. Add water, coffee and 1.5 tsp of sweetener in a narrow bottom glass or cup, using an electric whisk, whisk until stiff peaks form.
2. Microwave almond milk (until it’s steaming) in a tall glass or a large mug. Add the rest of the ingredients (sweetener, pumpkin puree, caramel flavoring, pumpkin pie spice and ground cinnamon). Using the electric whisk (no need to wash it from the previous use) carefully pulse the ingredients together (if you don’t do this carefully you will have a big mess to clean up). Speaking from personal experience.
3. Pour the pumpkin flavored milk into a clean glass/cup (glass looks fancier) and top it with the whipped coffee, from step 1.

I made this for the first time yesterday and made it iced instead of hot. Absolutely delicious!😍 Literally tasted like pumpkin pie in a mug!
I’m sure it would be delicious hot as well. Thank you for the recipe!
Linda I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I need to try it iced. But the hot is very delicious
